iNathi SysCare utilizes the free, open-source MySQL database to store information. This makes iNathi SysCare a viable and cost-effective solution for implementation in Primary Health Care clinics across developing world health departments. In addition to the above, iNathi SysCare leverages several other technologies to simplify health care provision which include: SMS technology: iNathi SysCare can be set up to automatically deliver reminders to patients of their return dates and/or doses that need to be taken increasing adherence to treatment
Biometrics: eliminates patient duplication, and simplifies identification and verification in the system. This reduces fraudulent behaviour and allows treatment to be given appropriately even in times of crisis.
Barcode Reading: improves stock management and control capabilities. Dispensing becomes a matter of scanning a barcode and entering a quantity and stock usage improves as FIFO system can be better enforced.
